Remembrance
The 1978 State Championship Team numbered 24 young men. As the famous lyric by Isaac Watts says …
“Time, like an ever-rolling stream, bears all its sons away; they fly, forgotten, as a dream dies at the opening day.”
In the years since that happy victory day, 2 of our teammates have passed on. We remember them here:

Steve Proctor left us on May 3, 2006. Steve was a fine young man, good student and real asset to the team. He always worked hard in practice and was eager to improve. When he was put in the game on offense he always gave more than 100% and always contributed to our success. On away games you could always find him at the back of the bus with “Jim and John” singing songs and getting everyone relaxed and in a good frame of mind for the upcoming game. We are glad our paths crossed and we all miss you. You will always be in our hearts and in our memories. We hope your family will frequent our get-togethers and share memories with us. They will always be welcome!

David White left us on March 2, 2007. David was a great young man who was a hard-nosed wing defender. Always as serious in practice as he was in games. He was a great contributor to our success on defense. He had a healthy bond with Gary and Lance on and off the field which gave us a defense that really worked well together and was tough to score on. We are glad to have had the pleasure of knowing you and allowing you to touch our lives and we all miss you greatly. You will be in our hearts and in our memories. We hope your family will frequent our get-togethers and share memories with us. They will always be welcome!
